Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to the Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association (KSHA). As I begin my year as president, I do so with a vision for growth, unity, and advocacy.
Together we have built KSHA into one of the largest state associations in the nation, with over 1,300 members. We are an engaged, passionate community committed to improving care, access, and inclusion for those with communication and hearing differences. I want to thank every member for your advocacy—especially during these challenging times for our profession and for the rural and underserved communities we serve. SLPs and AuDs are a motivated, compassionate, and resilient group, always striving to do what is right.
This year, I look forward to working alongside the executive council, our current members, and new members to educate policymakers on the essential role of our services and the need for access for all. I follow in the footsteps of outstanding KSHA leaders and will lean on their wisdom as we continue our mission to support individuals with communication disorders.
We are especially excited about our upcoming convention, “The Essence of Communication: Empowering Minds, Transforming Lives,” taking place in Lexington, KY, February 18–20, 2026. This event will bring nationally recognized speakers and high-quality professional development to empower us in transforming lives through the work we do as SLPs and AuDs.
KSHA will continue to champion our profession through advocacy, education, and resource support. Stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, and X for updates, opportunities, and professional news. We welcome members who are ready to take the next step into leadership—your voice and expertise are needed. Click here to get involved.
I am honored to serve as your president and to continue KSHA’s tradition of excellence as one of the nation’s leading state associations. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
Warm regards,
Anne Blandford, SLPD, CCC-SLP
