Steckol and Stanley Application Form

Steckol and Stanley Scholarships Deadline: January 15

Forms must be submitted electronically using the online form below or via email by January 15.

The minimum criteria to apply for KSHA’s Steckol and Stanley Scholarships are:

  • Current enrollment in a speech-language pathology or audiology program
  • Transcript verifying GPA (no minimum required) and program enrollment
  • Evidence of academic achievement at the doctoral, graduate, or undergraduate level
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Current KSHA student membership
  • Clear professional goals and philosophy
  • Two letters of recommendation

Required Submission Materials:

  • Completed application (printable or online form available below) will
  • Transcript (for GPA and enrollment verification)
  • Current résumé outlining academic performance, work history, and relevant experiences
  • 250–500-word essay addressing:
    • Financial need
    • Professional philosophy
    • Future career goals in SLP or Audiology
  • Two letters of recommendation from faculty on school letterhead (should address financial need, academic readiness, and/or research potential)

Award Recipient Responsibility:

  • Submit a short article to the KSHA Communicator describing the award’s impact and how it was used

All supporting documentation must be uploaded at the time of submission.

A single application will be considered for both the Steckol and Stanley Memorial Fund Scholarships. You do not need to submit separate forms for each.
